Liverpool’s Health Inequalities Policy Research Group (HIP-R) comprises over 40 researchers. Our vision is to improve health and reduce inequalities through the study of the determinants of health and wellbeing and the policies that impact them. Our approach combines the development and use of data assets, the application of a broad range of evaluation methods, and meaningful policy engagement internationally through the WHO collaborating centre on health equity that we host; regionally through Health Equity North and the NHSA Child of the North initiative, and locally through working with UNICEF and partners in Liverpool on the Child-Friendly Cities Programme
