Foundations − What Works Centre for Children & Families, is seeking proposals from organisations to deliver a project on children’s social care data and monitoring systems in local authorities. We want to understand how local authorities record information on families who are offered and receive a Family Group Conference at pre-proceedings stage and how routine collection of this data might be possible.
To address the lack of current information on Family Group Conferences, Foundations is commissioning a project to understand how local authorities currently record information on Family Group Conferences at pre-proceedings stage and explore what it would take to routinely collect this data from local authorities across England, for example on an annual basis. The aim of this project is to identify a mechanism for routinely collecting local authority data on Family Group Conferences that would provide a meaningful picture of family access to, and outcomes from, Family Group Conferences at pre-proceedings stage.
We invite proposals from organisations who are familiar with local authority data systems and how they record and monitor data in children’s social care.
Individual awards will be funded at a maximum of £70,000 for a period of up to 5 months.
We anticipate awarding contracts in December 2023. The programme will be delivered from January to May 2024.
