Summary

Foundations has reviewed the evaluation reports of individual interventions funded by the Department for Education’s children’s social care innovation programme. We have highlighted key learnings across a number of themes, with a focus on the enablers and barriers to making change:

  • Set-up and management of service design, development and testing
  • Intervention design
  • Supportive interactions
  • Evaluation.

These insights may be helpful to any practice leaders, commissioners, and funders wanting to introduce new interventions to local areas, as well as to evaluators researching these changes.
