Our people are at the heart of everything we do. To truly achieve our vision of more vulnerable children living safely and happily at home and leading happier, healthier lives, it is vital that our workforce reflects the diversity of our stakeholders and the wider society in the UK. We’re proud to be an equal opportunities employer and we actively seek candidates from diverse backgrounds and communities.
We also recognise the importance of a good work-life balance, so we do everything we can to accommodate flexible working, including part time, job shares and home working for people who live further away from our office.
To achieve real impact for vulnerable children, we expect high performance from our people and this is rewarded with high pay. Equity is important to us, and so all people in the same role are paid the same salary. This means we won’t negotiate on salaries during the recruitment process.

Foundations’ culture code
Foundations strives to be a great place to work, where high-performing people and teams are supported to achieve impact that makes a real difference for vulnerable children and families.
Our values are a vital part of how we achieve high performance, through regular reviews of our objectives and key results, and in how we work with each other and our partners every day.
Our culture code – which outlines our values, the behaviours which flow from them and what it looks like when we are achieving and exceeding in these – was developed in 2023, through all-staff and smaller staff group conversations to define our values and behaviours. Our values and behaviours include being transparent, rigorous, collaborative, committed to making change happen, and championing equality, diversity, inclusion and equity.
Foundations’ Values
Foundations strives to be a leader in researching, generating and translating evidence into practical solutions that shape better policy and practice and lead to more effective family support services, so more vulnerable children have the foundational relationships they need to thrive in life. To achieve our mission, we are guided by our values, which support a positive, high-performance organisational culture to firmly guide decision making and action across Foundations.
Our values are:
- We are transparent in our decisions and actions

- We are collaborative in our work and our relationships with partners, funders, colleagues and the families and children we serve

- We are committed to making change happen, challenging the status quo to improve the lives of vulnerable children and families.
