Associate Professor at the University of Plymouth, specialising in prevention and early intervention to improve child and youth psychosocial outcomes. Nick has been involved in several trials of interventions such as parenting support, social-emotional learning and bullying prevention. Nick has also undertaken rapid evidence reviews in the areas of early years care and education, safeguarding and parent support for children’s learning. Nick’s current interests are evaluation methods, financial well-being support for families and strategies to improve implementation. Nick was previously a member of the Early Intervention Foundation Evidence Panel and the What Works for Children’s Social Care Evaluation Advisory Group. (Updated Jan-24)
