Stephen Morris is Professor of Evaluation at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), where he is based in the Policy Evaluation and Research Unit (PERU), located within the Department of Sociology. Previously Stephen has held posts at NatCen Social Research, the Policy Studies Institute, Institute for Employment Studies as well as various positions in the UK Civil Service. Stephen’s research focuses on the use of randomised controlled trials and quasi-experimental research designs to evaluate interventions in education, family welfare, employment, and criminal justice. Stephen is a member of the UK Government Evaluation and Trial Advice Panel, Youth Endowment Fund’s Grants and Evaluation Committee and Youth Futures Foundation, Evaluation Expert Advisory Group.
